My stay at The Brown Palace Hotel was a good mix of charm and challenges. The historical design and attentive staff made the experience nice, though I did encounter some hiccups, like a confusing room layout and minor issues with room temperature. Overall, I loved the ambiance and the yummy breakfast, but there’s room for improvement.

My stay at The Brown Palace Hotel was truly nice, with its exquisite architecture and rich history captivating me from the moment I arrived. While the overall experience was fantastic, I did face some minor hiccups with the room's HVAC system which made for a warmer night than I'd prefer. However, the spa treatment I received was among the best I've ever experienced, adding to the luxurious feel of the hotel.

Rooms

I enjoyed my stay at The Brown Palace Hotel, with its stunning historic architecture that transported me back in time. The location is superb, allowing easy access to downtown attractions and dining options. however, I did notice some areas in need of improvement, particularly with the service and dining experiences, which could be more consistent. Overall, it was a nice experience with a unique charm.

My Classic Queen Room was beautifully decorated but felt small for the price I paid. I appreciated the comfortable king bed and marble bathroom, yet I encountered some issues like a leaky shower and a lack of a microwave.
Service

The staff offered excellent service, being both friendly and knowledgeable about the hotel and local attractions. However, certain areas of service, like in the dining places, fell short, with long waits and ordinary food.

While I enjoyed a fine meal at the Palace Arms, my experiences in Ellington's and the Ship Tavern were less amazing. Breakfast was overpriced, and I found the coffee a bit bitter.
Facilities

The facilities were well-maintained, but I felt the hotel needed some updates to maintain its character. The shared gym was well-equipped, though a bit cramped.

The Brown Palace Hotel certainly gives off a nostalgic vibe, with its beautiful historic architecture and elegant spaces. However, my experience was mixed. While I enjoyed the charm, the room issues and some service aspects left much to be desired. Overall, the details detracted from an otherwise promising stay.

Rooms
5.0
The room had charm but was drafty and lacked comfort. It had a leaking shower and outdated amenities that didn't feel up to par with the hotel's prestige.
Service
5.0
While staff were courteous, the overall service experience felt inconsistent, especially with room issues that required engineering assistance.
Location

The location is fantastic, with easy access to downtown attractions. I found it convenient to explore the area on foot.
Dining

Dining options like Ellington's were good, with excellent service and great food. However, some items in the other restaurants could've been served hotter.
